"Great mentor, very well rounded in all areas of music production and engineering. Definitely recommend if you’re trying to improve as an artist!"
“Derek is very knowledgeable and patient. He is an astute teacher who picks up on the information you need to know and the information that isn’t relevant to you; this makes his lessons very focused and efficient."
We recommend that you own a copy of either Ableton Live or Logic Pro X. All of our instructors are familiar with these programs, which will make it easier for them to assist you. If you use a different digital audio workstation (DAW), you can still sign up for lessons, but we can't guarantee our instructors will be familiar with the program you're using.
Our instructors can teach you a lot of things using stock audio effects, but they may point you in the direction of useful third-party plugins from time to time. These recommendations are optional, and you can purchase them at your own discretion.
We want to provide you with a risk-free opportunity to meet one of our instructors and see if the two of you mesh well. The intention is that you find the experience valuable, and decide to sign up for more lessons. However, you are by no means obligated to purchase anything if you book a free lesson.
Zoom is a software that provides remote conferencing services using cloud computing. It combines video conferencing, online meetings, chat, and mobile collaboration; this means you'll be able to to see and hear your instructor in the same way you would with a service like Skype.
Taking it a step further, Zoom allows you to screen share with your instructor, and the two of you will also be able to hear each other's system audio; this makes it easy to look at and listen to what's happening in the other's digital audio workstation (DAW).
You can sign up for more lessons via our booking portal. To save up to 33% on your lessons, you can purchase one of our various lesson package gift certificates. You'll be able to use these gift certificates as credit towards your lessons at checkout, or gift them to friends and family interested in learning how to produce music!
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions or concerns about signing up for lessons.
